ABOUT THE GAME
About Beleaguered Castle
Beleaguered Castle puts all its information on the table: four aces on their foundations and eight piles of six face-up cards. Move exposed cards down in rank regardless of suit, using empty piles as temporary space. This browser edition includes a UTC daily deal, hints, persistent Undo and Safe auto for conservative foundation moves.

How to play
Move an exposed pile-end card onto another card one rank higher, or into any empty pile. Build the four suit foundations from the starting aces through king. You cannot move a group or draw extra cards.
Rules in this version
- Start with the four aces on foundations and six face-up cards in each of eight piles.
- Only the exposed end card moves. Tableau building is downward by rank, with any suit.
- Any exposed card may fill an empty pile. There is no stock.
- Complete four ace-to-king suit foundations to win.
Tips for playing
- Keep an empty pile available when it lets you uncover a needed card without burying another one.
- Safe auto requires every foundation to have reached the preceding rank. A displayed hint is a legal option, not proof that the deal is solvable.
Questions about this game
Does an empty pile require a king?
No. This Castle variant accepts any exposed end card in an empty pile.
Does Undo erase a blocked result?
No. Undo after a loss starts another attempt and retains the earlier result. Undo is disabled after a win.
