Browser games FAQ: accounts, saves and playing

General answers about the site. Visit Help to troubleshoot loading, or open a game page for its particular rules.

Do I need an account to play?

No. Playable browser builds are free to open without signing up. An account is optional; local data stays in the browser you use.

Does no download mean no data usage?

Your browser still loads the game's resources. No download means you do not have to install a separate game application. It is not a promise of zero data usage or offline support for every title.

Does adding a favourite save my current game?

No. A favourite is a shortcut in My Games. A game save stores progress and requires that particular game to support saving. Your collection and an unfinished round are different kinds of data.

Which data can an account sync?

When cloud sync is enabled, it can merge supported favourites, likes, recent games and statistics with local data. Game saves need a specific adapter: Fifteen is the first supported title. Sync does not upload all browser storage or make every game save compatible.

Will signing out erase local progress?

Signing out keeps local data. Clearing site data, switching browsers or using a private session can remove or separate your local history. Check which data you have synced before clearing your browser.

Do the English and Spanish sites share local data?

Each domain has its own browser storage. Local favourites do not automatically cross between the sites. Optional account sync manages compatible data for each origin; the two sites do not assume their visitors are one combined audience.

Can every game be played with touch or a keyboard?

A browser build alone does not guarantee either input method. Read the Compatibility and Controls sections on its page for the devices and inputs checked for that title.

Can two-player games be played online?

Two-player can mean taking turns on the same device. Many games also provide a computer opponent. Read the actual mode on the game page; local records are not an online leaderboard.

Where should I look for rules or report a problem?

Game-specific rules and tips live beside each player. Use Report on that page for a fault and describe your browser, device and steps to reproduce it. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens or private save contents.
