About Gomoku
Gomoku is a turn-based strategy game. Place black and white stones on a 15 × 15 board and connect five before your opponent. This edition offers three difficulty levels, local two-player matches, and a daily challenge.
How to play
Click or tap an empty intersection to place a stone. On keyboard, use the arrow keys to choose an intersection and Enter or Space to play. Black moves first.
Rules in this version
- Players place one stone per turn. The first unbroken line of five or more stones horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins. A full board without a winner is a draw. This edition uses freestyle rules with no forbidden moves.
Tips for playing
- Build threats that force a defensive move.
- Watch both ends of every line of four.
- Create two threats at once to set up a win.
