About War
War is a head-to-head contest between two 26-card piles. Flip the next pair and watch a tied rank trigger a larger battle. Classic ends when one side collects the deck, while Quick compares pile sizes after 100 battles. Daily uses a shared UTC deal with its own 1,000-battle limit. Optional guesses track predictions without changing the cards. An adjustable autoplay pace, recent battle record and local continuation help you follow the changing table.
How to play
Use Flip cards to resolve a battle. A tied rank starts a war with one face-down card and one face-up card from each side. Pick a prediction beforehand or choose No guess. Auto play advances at your selected pace; opening Menu stops it.
Rules in this version
- Deal 26 cards to each side. Aces rank highest; suits never break a tie.
- The higher card collects everything at stake. Each pair goes to the bottom of the winner’s pile with their own card first, then the opponent’s.
- A tie adds one face-down and one face-up card per side. Equal face-up ranks repeat the war.
- A side unable to place two more cards loses that war. If neither can continue, the larger remaining pile wins; equal counts draw.
- Classic victory requires all 52 cards; a detected exact cycle draws. Quick stops after 100 battles, Daily after 1,000, with the larger pile winning unless play ends earlier.
Tips for playing
- War is driven by deck order. Predictions and autoplay speed do not change the outcome or add strategic control.
- Watch pile sizes and the recent battle record to follow swings. A short winning streak alone does not show who will collect the deck.
Questions about this game
Do guesses affect the next cards?
No. They only count correct predictions. Cards still come from the front of each pile, and there is no money betting.
Does Quick use the classic victory condition?
It can end earlier if one side collects the deck, but otherwise compares pile sizes after 100 battles. Classic continues toward all 52 cards.
