About Turkish Draughts
Turkish Draughts gives each side sixteen pieces and uses every square of an 8×8 board. Men step forward or sideways; kings travel along ranks and files. Capture is compulsory, with the longest available sequence required. Try three computer levels or share a device. A native hint marks a legal move and saved undo history retains up to forty turns. Matches and statistics stay in this browser; this edition has no cloud-save adapter.
How to play
Ivory moves first. Select a piece and a highlighted destination. Choose a maximum-length capture and finish its jumps with the same piece. A man ending on the last rank becomes a king for its next turn. Arrow keys navigate squares, Enter or Space selects, H hints and Z undoes.
Rules in this version
- Sixteen pieces each on 8×8. Men step and capture forward or sideways; nothing moves diagonally. Men cannot capture backward.
- Capturing is compulsory and must take the maximum number of pieces. Captured pieces leave the board immediately.
- Kings travel along rows and columns but cannot reverse a capture direction by 180°. Promotion powers begin on the next turn.
- No pieces or legal move loses. One piece per side draws. This edition also uses threefold repetition and one hundred capture-free half-moves as digital safeguards; tournament procedures are outside its scope.
Tips for playing
- Look beyond the captured piece: a flying king may have several landing squares.
- Check the longest forced reply before opening a rank. A quiet sideways step can expose a large capture.

Does Turkish Draughts use only dark squares?
No. It uses all 64 squares with horizontal and vertical movement.
Will an older saved match have undo history?
The previous version did not store undo turns. Its board can continue, and this version saves up to forty newly played turns.
