A traditional strategy game from Java with a distinctive twist: every capture travels through a corner loop.

ABOUT THE GAME

About Surakarta

Surakarta turns a six-by-six grid into a different kind of strategy challenge. Each player begins with twelve stones. Ordinary moves take a single step to an empty neighboring point, while captures follow a clear track through at least one corner loop to the first opposing stone. Opening a route can be just as important as protecting a piece. This Zarocer edition includes three computer levels, two-player play on one device and an interactive capture lesson. Hints, undo and saved-game restoration are available for local play. Explicit digital adjudication rules settle repeated positions, turn limits and blocked games by remaining material. Eleven in-game languages share one build and one set of rules.

How to play

Select an ivory stone, then a marked destination. Step to an adjacent empty point, including diagonals. To capture, follow a clear row or column through a corner loop to the first opposing stone. Do not jump stones or turn at crossings. Capturing is optional. Capture all opposing stones to win; read the in-game digital adjudication rules.
