About Regions

Regions turns two simple rules into satisfying moments of deduction. Each region must contain every number from 1 to its number of cells, exactly once. Equal numbers cannot touch, even at a corner. There are no extra Sudoku-style row or column rules: the shape of each region and the neighboring cells are what matter. The journey contains 48 original boards across three chapters. Begin with 4×4 grids, then explore 5×5 and 6×6 puzzles with fewer clues. Every board is available from the start, and every puzzle has a unique solution. Practice lets you choose a difficulty and try rotated or reflected variants. The daily challenge gives everyone the same 5×5 board for each UTC date. This is a finite puzzle library, so daily boards and practice variants can repeat. Tap a cell and use the number pad, or play with arrow keys and 1–5 on your keyboard. Manual notes let you record possibilities without automatically solving the puzzle. Rule conflicts are marked with a cross and a clear explanation. When you ask for a hint, the game tells you whether it corrected an entry, identified a single candidate or revealed a number from the unique solution. Local saving lets you leave and continue in the same browser. Pause whenever you need, switch language, adjust sound or reduce animation. Results and personal best times stay in this browser; assisted and restored attempts do not set unassisted records. Global rankings are not connected. You can play without an account.
