ABOUT THE GAME

About President

President is a climbing card game against three computer opponents. Lead a single card or equal-rank set; replies must match the set size at a higher rank. Passing is a legal tactical choice. The order players empty their hands determines four places and the next hand’s card exchanges. Three difficulty levels, visible play history and a local finish record help you follow the table. A UTC Daily deal provides a separate, fixed-start challenge without exchanges.

How to play

Select cards of one rank, then use Play cards. Beat the table with an equal-size higher set, or choose Pass even when you could play. Hint selects an available reply. When everyone else passes, the last player to play leads again. After a classic hand, choose Next hand to apply place-based exchanges.

Rules in this version

  • Deal thirteen cards each from a fifty-two-card deck without jokers.
  • Ranks run from three through ace, then two highest. Suits do not break ties.
  • Lead one card or an equal-rank set. A reply needs the same number of cards at a higher rank.
  • Passing is allowed with a legal reply and does not permanently lock you out of the trick.
  • When all other active players pass, the last player to play leads. If they have gone out, the next active player leads.
  • Next hand, President returns two lowest cards for Last’s two highest; middle places exchange one. Daily has no exchange. Revolutions are not used.

Tips for playing

  • Keeping a group intact may beat spending part of it on a small trick. Opponent card counts are public; their remaining ranks are not.
  • Passing can preserve a high card for a later lead. The recent-play record recalls public moves without exposing hidden hands.

Questions about this game

Can I pass with a legal reply?

Yes, whenever a play is on the table. You can respond on a later turn if the trick has not yet closed.

Does Daily carry over place-based exchanges?

No. It has a shared UTC deal, Normal difficulty, no exchange and the human player leading first.
