About Killer Sudoku
A Killer Sudoku cage gives you a total rather than a full set of starting digits. Combine that sum with the usual 9×9 row, column and box constraints. Digits cannot repeat inside a cage, even if the cage crosses a box boundary. This collection has four uniquely solvable boards at each of three difficulties. A local-date daily challenge applies a deterministic transformation to a Medium board; it is a selection from finite puzzle material, not an unlimited new-puzzle service. Pencil notes, a selected-cell hint and recoverable undo support longer sessions. Saves and statistics are browser-local, with a separate record for newly completed games without hints. There is no time limit or loss screen.

How to play
Select a square and enter a digit from the keyboard or number pad. Turn on Notes to toggle candidates instead. Hint fills the selected empty cell. Highlighted conflicts indicate repeated digits or a cage total that cannot currently fit. Finish all 81 squares while satisfying every cage and Sudoku unit.
Rules in this version
- Use each digit 1 through 9 once per row, column and 3×3 box.
- Add the cage digits to exactly the small target number.
- No digit repeats within a cage.
- Notes are candidates, not entries. The active timer is informational and cannot end a game.
Tips for playing
- Learn small combinations: two different digits totaling 3 must be 1 and 2. Then test their positions against nearby units.
- Every complete row, column and box totals 45. Subtract known cages to find the sum of cells outside them.
Questions about this game
What does a one-cell cage mean?
Its target is the digit for that square. It still has to fit the Sudoku rules in its row, column and box.
Does a hint solve the next available square automatically?
Select an empty square first. This hint control reveals the digit in that selected cell; it does not rewrite a filled cell.
