About Canasta
Classic two-player Canasta with a computer opponent and running scores up to 5,000 points.
How to play
Draw two cards or take the discard pile. Meld cards of the same rank, complete two seven-card canastas, then discard to end your turn.
Rules in this version
- Each player starts with 15 cards. The opening meld needs 50, 90 or 120 points depending on the running score, or 15 for a negative score. A frozen pile requires a matching natural pair. Two canastas are required to go out.
Tips for playing
- Keep pairs of high-value cards for an easier opening meld.
- Watch for a frozen discard pile.
- Keep a discard available until you have two canastas.
